The famous Refractory Highlights Conference is back in 2024, with the focus on ‘Greener metal making with refractories’. We are very pleased to announce that we are again holding our leading conference for the Nordic countries in Sweden. The close cooperation with Bet-Ker Oy has been a successful formula to attract the ‘movers and shakers’ in the Steel industry to share ideas and network. This year’s Refractory Highlights Conference will on May 22nd and 23rd.
Each year we have had an increasing amount of registrants so look forward to the same trajectory this year too. The feedback from last year was extremely positive and we have listened to what people were saying to inform the topics for the 2024 Conference.

The presentations on the first day will be delivered by key industry specialists from Refractory manufacturers and Steel plants using these materials. This always prompts interesting discussions between everyone at the Conference. The following morning will be a tour of the Alleima Steel Plant.
The first days' proceedings will take place in the Conference centre two minutes’ walk from the Clarion hotel Smedjan in Sandviken, followed by a dinner and other activities. On the second day, we will visit Alleima’s steel plant in Sandviken.
Take this opportunity to make new contacts and re-acquaint yourself with old friends. Presentations will be made by leaders in the European steel industry on a range of subjects, to broaden understanding and prompt debate and discussions. It is the perfect environment to learn more about refractory materials, both currently and how things will be in the future.
